PGA of Canada and Acushnet Canada Renew Partnership

[ACTON, ONT.]—The PGA of Canada is proud to announce it has renewed its partnership with one of the Association's longest standing allies, Acushnet Canada.

The agreement sees Titleist & FootJoy remain the title sponsor of the PGA Club Professional Championship of Canada and as the presenting sponsor of the PGA Assistants' Championship.

"Acushnet Canada has played an integral role in the support of the PGA of Canada and its members for more than 40 years,” said PGA of Canada CEO, Gary Bernard. "We are thrilled that they are committed to continue the partnership for years to come.”

"One of our most valued assets is the strong partnership we enjoy with the members of the PGA of Canada and our sponsorship of the Club Professional Championship and Assistants' Championship is a natural extension of that relationship,” said Acushnet Canada President, Ted Manning. "We are very proud to be renewing our sponsorship of the National Championships.”

Venues for this year's Titleist & FootJoy PGA Club Professional Championship of Canada and the PGA Assistants' Championship presented by Titleist & FootJoy will be confirmed in the coming weeks when the 2012 PGA National Championship schedule is confirmed.

Both events, which were won by Roger Beale (PGA Club Professional Championship) and Mike Belbin (PGA Assistants' Championship), count towards the PGA of Canada Player Ranking presented by RBC. Thanks to their respective wins, Beale (No. 26) and Belbin (No. 7) are both ranked within the top 30.
