The Starters’ Shack—Talkin’ Pro:FILES
Is it me, or has the alternative—long and belly—putter debate really escalated over the last couple weeks? From Tiger Woods, to the USGA, to countless message board junkies on golfwrx.com, the issue is getting more ink than Gisele Bundchen’s post Super Bowl comments.
But, don’t worry; I’m not going to chime in and give my two cents (on either alternative putters or the New England Patriots receivers).
In the first issue of PRO:Files, however, we will take a look at the alternative putters. And since we’re putting together a magazine exclusively for PGA of Canada members, our alternative putter story will come at the issue from a very different angle.

While I’m on the subject of pumping the tires of our soon-to-be launched digital magazine, I’ll give you a nice little tip on another story that is bound to get people talking—magazines ranking golf courses. A hired gun with intimate knowledge of the ranking process has been brought aboard to pen the piece.
