Tarling Wins PGA of Australia Legends Tour Order of Merit

After a year of impressive play Down Under, PGA of Canada member Ken Tarling finished atop the 2011 PGA of Australia Legends Tour Order of Merit.

The 53-year-old Head Teaching Professional at the Ken Tarling Golf Academy in Stouville, Ont., earned more than $40,000 (AUD) in 31 events on the Australia Legends Tour this year. Tarling edged New Zealand native Jim H. Lapsley to capture the order of merit title.

Tarling’s notable year in Australia included five wins and numerous other top-five finishes.

Tarling also captured the Mr. Lube - Canadian PGA Seniors’ Championship, presented by Cleveland Golf/Srixon—the 100th professional championship of victory of his career—in July. He is currently ranked No. 6 on the PGA of Canada Player Rankings presented by RBC.

The 2012 PGA of Australia Legends Tour begins in mid-January with the Bayview Col. Crawford BMW Legends Pro-Am.
