Movember's Back

Movember's Back

ACTON, ON (November 1, 2011) – The PGA of Canada announced today that in an effort to raise awareness for Prostate Cancer Canada, the Association will once again be reaching out to its Membership to offer a nationwide challenge to the 3,700 PGA of Canada Professionals to see who can grow the best moustache.

Last year’s contest came down to the wire with Jocelyn Faladeau winning the exciting race.

Members will be asked to submit photographs of their moustache to Heather Bodden at the end of ‘Movember’ and the winner will be decided from voting on the PGA of Canada's website with the winner receiving a prize pack of PGA of Canada logo’d merchandise.

On Movember 1st, guys can register at Movember.com with a clean-shaven face. For the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery.

Supported by the women in their lives, Movember Members can raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.

Movember Members effectively become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November. Through their actions and words, they raise awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health.

Prostate Cancer Canada is the Official Charity of the PGA of Canada and a proud partner in the PGA Championship of Canada sponsored by Mr. Lube & presented by TaylorMade/adidas Golf and & the Mr. Lube - PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada presented by Cleveland Golf/Srixon.
