This year the impressive cast includes Ray Stewart, Bob Panasik, Yvan Beauchemin, Ken Tarling, Ben Boudreau, Danny Mijovic, Ian Doig & Brian Hutton.

“We are very excited to have such a competitive field at the Canadian PGA Seniors’ Championship,” said Glenn Cundari, President of the Canadian PGA. “This field will certainly showcase some of our most experienced and talented seniors.”

Ray Stewart of Abbotsford, BC, the 2009 winner of the Canadian PGA Seniors’ Championship is looking to claim his second seniors’ title. Stewart was a former PGA Tour player in 1983 and then from 1987 to 1993 and a two-time Canadian Tour champion in 1999. In 1994, he captured the Dunhill Cup with teammates Dave Barr and Rick Gibson representing Canada. Stewart also played on the Dunhill squad in 1995 and Canadian World Cup team in 1999. Stewart took the 2010 season off from competitive golf after undergoing double shoulder surgery.

Three-time Seniors Champion, Bob Panasik will also be vying for the win. Panasik is a nine-time Canadian Tour champion who has also represented Canada at the World Cup three times (1972, 1973, 1975). Other notable professionals competing in the event include Ken Tarling of Sandford, ON who is currently ranked 6th on the Canadian PGA Player Rankings presented by RBC. Tarling put together an incredible run over the winter on the Australian PGA Senior Tour where he cruised to the top of their Order of Merit after notching several victories on the tour.
