Canadian PGA Members Tee it Up at Canadian Open and British Seniors

Three Canadian PGA Members will be teeing it up today at the 100th RBC Canadian Open at Glen Abbey in Oakville, ON.

Mike Weir, Kyle German and Graham DeLaet will battle it out for a position at the top of the leaderboard in the only PGA Tour stop in Canada.

German earned an exemption into this week’s RBC Canadian Open after winning the 2008 Titleist and FootJoy Canadian PGA Club Professionals Championship last November.

With three Canadian Tour wins in 11 months and a number of top-five finishes during that stretch, DeLaet earned an exemption into the Open due to his stellar play.

Also competing across the pond this week at the Senior British Open at Sunningdale Golf Club in Berkshire, England is Canadian PGA Member Graham Gunn.

The 56-year-old only narrowly missed the cut in European Senior Tour qualifying school finals the past few years, and is known for his success in Canadian PGA Senior Championship events, including his 2006 Canadian title.

Gunn came up with a masterful performance to qualify for the Senior British Open with a 7-under round of 65 to top a field of 105 hopefuls and earn one of the nine spots up for grabs in the event. Click here to follow Gunn
