Public Workshops
This page is designed for volunteers who are interested in participating in a PGA of Canada Community Stream coaching workshop. These workshops are part of the Teaching & Coaching Certification Program with participants having access to a tremendous body of world class research as well as training by one of the most highly respected associations in instruction and coach education in the world. The PGA of Canada’s Teaching & Coaching Certification Program (TCCP) includes training workshops for community volunteer coaches through
Future Links Leader and
Special Olympics Golf Coach.
Coaches in the Community Sport stream typically become involved on a voluntary basis for various reasons. They tend to work with participants of all ages who are new to the game of golf. The focus of Community Sport coaches is to introduce new athletes to the game or to continue athlete’s participation in the sport. The role of the coach is to ensure a fun and safe environment and to teach the development of some of the FUNdamentals and Active for Life stage skills and abilities for participants.
